NSCHBC Quarterly Commercial Insurance Updates

Welcome to the NSCHBC Commercial Insurance Quarterly Updates Webinars

Commercial insurance policies are constantly changing — and keeping up with multiple payers can be challenging for physicians, practice managers, coders, billers, auditors, compliance professionals, and revenue cycle teams.

Our goal at NSCHBC is to research, review, and interpret the latest commercial insurance alerts, reimbursement policies, medical policies, coding guidance, and provider updates and make it easier to understand and apply in your practice.

Unlike Medicare, commercial payer requirements can vary significantly from one insurance carrier to another. Important changes may be announced through provider bulletins, policy updates, newsletters, or payer portals — and practices may not discover a new requirement until a claim is denied, payment is delayed, prior authorization fails, or reimbursement changes.

The NSCHBC Commercial Insurance Quarterly Updates Webinar Series is designed to help you stay ahead of those changes.

What Will We Cover?

Each quarter, we will review important updates and alerts from major commercial payers, including:

  • UnitedHealthcare (UHC)
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield plans
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Other commercial payers when significant changes affect physician practices

Topics will vary each quarter based on newly released payer policies, alerts, and reimbursement changes.

Updates may include:

  • New and revised reimbursement policies
  • Coding and billing policy changes
  • Medical policy updates
  • Documentation requirements
  • Prior authorization changes
  • Utilization management requirements
  • Claims editing and payment policy revisions
  • Modifier and bundling policies
  • Coverage and medical necessity changes
  • Specialty-specific payer policies
  • Denial trends and reimbursement concerns
  • Effective dates and implementation deadlines
  • Practical recommendations for physician practices and revenue cycle teams

Why Attend?

Don't wait for the denial to discover that the payer changed the rules.

Commercial payers routinely update reimbursement policies, medical policies, claims edits, prior authorization requirements, and coding guidelines. Unfortunately, those changes can easily be missed when your staff is managing the daily demands of a medical practice.

These quarterly webinars will help your organization:

  • Identify important payer changes before they affect reimbursement
  • Reduce avoidable denials and payment delays
  • Understand which payer policies have changed and when they become effective
  • Prepare billing and coding teams for new requirements
  • Educate physicians and clinical staff about documentation changes
  • Recognize specialty-specific reimbursement issues
  • Improve communication between clinical, coding, billing, authorization, and revenue cycle teams
  • Turn lengthy payer updates into practical, actionable information

Experienced Revenue Cycle Management professionals may also be joining selected quarterly webinars as guest presenters when their expertise aligns with specific payer updates or specialties.
